Blue Ambrose is a beautiful dun mare raised by Chip Merritt.  Randy Dunn has a real nice coming four year old dun stud out of her by Valentine Drift that he is planning on using this year (2008).  She is in foal to Blue Jet Smooth for a 2008 foal.  She is 37.5% Blue Valentine and 15.63% Texas Bluebonnet.  Lory Hayes told me over twenty years ago that the best blue valentine  horses that they raised were the ones that had a heavy influence of Texas Bluebonnet.  Over the years I think that he has been proved correct in that statement.  She is out of Chips good Gooseberry daughter Chucker Maid.  It's too bad that Roan Ambrose was never bred to more mares like her.
